Delhi: Two Arrested for Alleged Gang-Rape of Ugandan Woman

New Delhi: A 30-year-old Ugandan woman was allegedly gang-raped and robbed by two men in south-west Delhi's Dwarka area, police said today.

"The woman had come to Janakpuri District Centre in West Delhi last night to meet a friend. While returning to her rented accommodation in Dabri area, two men came in a car and offered her lift," said a police official.

When she refused their offer, one of them pulled her inside the car and took her to a house in Dwarka where they took turns to rape her.

"They then dumped her at a secluded place in the same area before taking away her purse containing around Rs 3,000 and her mobile phone," the official said.

The woman managed to reach Dwarka North police station and filed a complaint.

A case of gang rape, robbery and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code or IPC were made against the two men after the woman's medical test confirmed rape, he said, adding and the two accused have been arrested.
