New Delhi:
A highly decomposed body, suspected to be of a woman, was found from a field in Narela area of Outer Delhi on Saturday evening, police said.
"The body, which seems to be of a woman in her 30's, was found in a field in Narela. The body is ion a highly decomposed state," a police official said.
It seems that the body must have been lying there since last couple of days and came into notice only after it started emanating foul smell due to decomposition, the official said, adding that the identity has still not been established.
"We have sent the body for autopsy which would reveal the cause and time of death. Police stations of nearby area have been informed for missing persons identification," the official said.
Further investigations are on, he added.
