Decomposed body of a woman found in spare tyre compartment of a school bus in Gurgaon

Gurgaon: The decomposed body of a woman has been found in the spare tyre compartment of a private school's bus in Gurgaon. The bus had been parked about 200 metres from a local police station for the last three days.

The victim has been identified as Priya, who was working as a domestic help at a paying guest accommodation in Gurgaon. She was missing since Monday.

Her family had informed the police, but no official report was filed.

"For the last three days, the school bus was parked at a deserted spot near Gurgaon village in sector 5," said Kuldeep Kumar, chief of sector 5 police station.

Rajan Singh, the driver of the bus, lives in Gurgaon village and routinely parked the bus there after school hours, he said.

The bus was parked at the spot for three days at a stretch as there were a string of school holidays, the police said.

On Wednesday, the driver was taking the bus to school but it broke down on the way in sector 29. He reportedly found the body while trying to locate the snag.

"Only the postmortem report will reveal how she was killed and whether she was sexually assaulted before her murder," Surender Pal Singh, deputy commissioner of police (west), told IANS. The postmortem will be conducted tomorrow.
