Chennai:
A 70 year-old woman was killed in a freak mishap when the roof of her house collapsed after construction materials in an adjoining building fell on it in Chennai today.
Construction activity was underway in the first floor of the building at Nungambakkal area when a heap of materials fell on the nearby house, police said.
The roof of the house collapsed under the impact and fell on the old woman who died while being shifted to a hospital, police said.
