Brothers killed, parents injured with swords after parking fight in Mumbai

MumbaiTwo brothers were killed and their parents injured after being attacked with swords and choppers following a row over parking in a housing complex, police said on Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 11 pm on Tuesday in Andheri East when six persons barged into the residence of the Singh family in Trimurti Society in Pirjawala Nagar.

Police said that 10 days ago Ashish Jitendra Singh and his brother Avnish Jitendra Singh, a teacher, had quarrelled with Rakesh Sharma over parking space in the society premises.

Apparently seeking revenge, Mr Sharma allegedly brought five of his friends, including a woman, on Tuesday night and attacked the Singh family.

While Avnish was killed instantly, younger brother Ashish succumbed to injuries in a hospital, while their parents sustained injuries. Panic gripped the locality.

The prime accused Mr Sharma has been arrested. His accomplices are absconding.
