Bhopal:
A couple was killed and seven others were injured this morning around 5am by a roadside wall in the Lal Ghati area that collapsed due to heavy rains and fell over the habitation near it, the police said.
Apart from the couple identified as Jeevanlal, 33 and his wife Jyoti, 32, seven people, including two kids of the couple were also injured in the deadly collapse and later admitted to the Government Hamidia hospital, Mr. Koh-e-Fiza, police station Sub-Inspector said.
The district administration announced a compensation of Rs. 1 lakh while MLA Arif Aqueel in Madhya Pradesh assembly demanded a monetary assistance of Rs. 10 lakh for the family of the dead couple.
