Bhopal: In order to promote export of engineering and auto components from Madhya Pradesh, an expo has been organized here from February 20 to showcase the State's strength and provide a platform to buyers and sellers for negotiating business opportunities.

The three-day MP Engineering and Auto Expo will be jointly organised by the Government of Madhya Pradesh and MP Trade and Investment Facilitation Corporation Ltd (TRIFAC).

On the occasion, a buyers-seller meet and an exhibition will also be organized, TRIFAC Managing Director P K Das said on Friday.

The event, where 63 companies, including 19 foreign ones, will take part, is being organized as part of the Government's "Destination MP" drive for promoting the State as an industrial hub and a favored investment destination.

Of the total export of Rs 10,000-12,000 crore from the State, the share of engineering and auto component is just Rs 1,642 crore. This sector has a lot of potential to grow further, he said.

In order to attract foreign investment in the state, the Third Global Investors Meet will be held in Indore from October 28 to 30, he added.
