Army Jawans Allegedly Vandalise Police Station in Maharashtra's Nashik
Nashik: Nearly 50 army jawans allegedly vandalised a police station in Maharashtra's Nashik city and attacked policemen.

The jawans came in bikes on Wednesday afternoon and allegedly stormed the police station in Upanagar, broke furniture and equipment and hit policemen.

They allegedly locked a woman police officer in a room and went on to damage property. Seven police officers, including three women, were reportedly injured.

The soldiers were in civilian clothes but were recognized by the number plates on the bikes.

According to sources, the jawans were angry over the alleged harassment of an officer who had gone to the police station to file a complaint on Tuesday. An argument broke out after the officer was asked to park his vehicle at a different spot. Army sources allege that the young officer was roughed up by police personnel and held back till late night.
