Kolkata:
A five-year-old girl died after falling from her school bus in Kolkata today, the police said.
The incident occurred when the girl, Kasia Yusuf, tried to get down in a hurry after seeing her mother before the bus stopped completely.
The mother of Kasia, a student of St John Diocesan School, was waiting for her near the crossing of Nasiruddin Road and Jhoutala Lane under Karaya police station.
Kasia fell down on the road trying to get down from the bus in a hurry and received severe head injuries.
She was taken to the Chittaranjan National Medical College Hospital near Park Circus, where doctors declared her brought dead, the police said.
