New Delhi: In an apparent dig at Narendra Modi, his Delhi counterpart Sheila Dikshit today said there is no comparison between the two leaders since the Gujarat Chief Minister is "going to be PM" while she remains a "Chief Minister".

When asked if she was competing with Mr Modi on the deeply-contested claims of development in their states, Ms Dikshit replied, "Woh to PM banne waale hain, main toh CM hoon. (He is going to be the PM, I am a Chief Minister)."

The Congress leader, who is seeking an unprecedented fourth term as the Chief Minister of Delhi, made the statement during a press conference called on the last day of campaigning for the December 4 Assembly elections.

As the campaign ended, Ms Dikshit said she would "not openly ask for your vote. I will say it in your ear."

Listing her government's achievements, Ms Dikshit attacked Mr Modi for his comments against her in rallies over the weekend. "This man lectures the PM saying adopt the Gujarat model. What progress are they talking about?" she said.

With barely six months to go for the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP and Narendra Modi are invested heavily in the Delhi elections, where the party's prime ministerial candidate addressed a series of rallies since last month.

"They say Delhi has been maladministered. The gentleman says we've done nothing here. Look at these figures," Ms Dikshit said, as she flashed figures of different parameters comparing Delhi with Gujarat before the media.

"We want Delhi to be a world class city, so the whole world talks about it," the 75-year-old leader said.
