Polling Crosses 11 Percent in Kashmir During First Few Hours

Voter turnout in the first couple of hours of the third phase polling in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections has been pegged at 11.28 percent.

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir recorded an average voter turnout of 11.28 percent during the first couple of hours in the state Assembly elections Tuesday, authorities said.

The Khansahib constituency recorded the highest voter turnout percentage of 19.64 while Sopore constituency was the lowest with 2.39 percent.

Voting is taking place in 16 assembly constituencies in the third round of the five-phase elections to the state Assembly.
