Akhilesh Yadav addresses media: Highlights

Lucknow: Amid reports that members of his party have been indulging in violence across the state, Akhilesh Yadav held a press conference this afternoon.   Here are the points he stressed:
 
  • Will throw out people from party if necessary so that action can be taken against them
  • Will not tolerate any violence or goonda-giri
  • We have said this throughout our campaign as well
  • Have told party workers to respect the law, stay polite and calm even if other parties try to instigate or provoke them
